Inspired by Brazilian volleyball shoes from the 1970s, VEJA reissues the Volley, its first model launched in 2005.
Upper: Suede
Panels: Suede and Organic Trace Leather (O.T.)
Insole: Amazonian rubber (11%), bio-based EVA (45%, including 36% sugarcane), recycled EVA (13%), organic cotton (5%), and other materials (26%)
Outsole: Amazonian rubber (40%), silica gel (23%), recycled rubber (10%), synthetic rubber (11%), and other materials (16%)
Lining: Recycled polyester (100%)
Laces: Organic cotton (100%)
Made in Brazil.
Suede is the back of leather, sanded to give it a soft and supple appearance. It comes from farms in Rio Grande do Sul and is tanned in Brazil without the use of hazardous or prohibited chemicals. VEJA uses dyes that comply with regulations and uses little water during the tanning process. This suede is then coated with PFC-free water-repellent oils to protect the shoes from light rain.

How to Take Clothing Measurements

Get a flexible measuring tape. These are often sold in craft stores
Neck:
- Measure around the base of the neck in inches.
- Round up to the nearest half inch.
Chest:
- Wrap tape measure under armpits around fullest part of chest (usually right above nipples
Sleeve:
- Bend your elbow and rest your hand on your hip.
- Have someone measure from the middle of the back of your neck to your wrist by putting the tape measure over your shoulder, around your elbow and to your wrist.
Waist:
- Wrap tape measure around where you normally wear your pants. Keep tape measure a little loose by keeping a finger between the tape measure and your waist.
Inseam:
- Put on a pair of shoes.Have someone measure from your crotch to back of the heel, where you want your pants to end.
Hands:
- Measure around the hand at the fullest part (exclude thumb). The number of inches shows the size of the glove.
